Shana Tova

Today is the first day of the new Jewish year - 5369 years and still counting.

This I wore to the dinner at grandma's, notice this beautiful scarf (second hand):

This I wore later that night, when we went out to some dance-bar with friends at Kibbutz Yasur:

The shirt is kind of second hand, I took it from dad. And the ring is second hand.

The academic year starts at November 9th, which leaves me with a little more than a month off. I thought I should get a job, but who will take me for one month with many holidays?

Friday night

So I decided to give a shot to my own style-blog.

I suppose it won't be a fashion-blog since I don't tend to buy clothes from local brands, and I still can't afford the big ones, and this leaves me with the second-hand shops, which are a great mix of two loves of mine - interesting outfits and recycling.

Why Academic style?
I'm a university student, studying towards a pretty mathematical-technical degree.
Most of the students here dedicate zero time to their appearance, so I need support for this dressing-up habit of mine, and I guess that this is a good place to find it.

A little about me -
My name is Natalie, I'm 20 years old, I live and study in Israel.
My favorite season is the winter, though it is so short and not so cold.
And that's pretty much it.

This is what I wore last Friday, to a performance of a musician friend of mine:

I know, I'll have to get a better camera than the one that is in my cellphone.
Black undershirt, black top (an old-inverted-cut school shirt), jeans mini-skirt, black tights and boots, green scarf and plaid flannel shirt (second hand), and a black bag which I adore so much since even the zipper is black!

This is from Saturday night, when I met some friends I haven't seen for some time:
Brown cardigan, blue scarf, gray shirt, plaid (warm) pants - second hand, ugg(ly)s, and the same black bag.
